Sardinia Archeo Festival
Archaeology, contemporary art, cinema under the stars and the landscape of the Gennargentu. On Friday, August 28, the Sardinia Archeo Festival arrives at S’Arcu ’e is Forros, in Villagrande Strisaili, with an event truly not to be missed. It starts at 6 p.m. with a thematic guided tour of the Nuragic cult complex, to discover one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in Ogliastra.Among the most awaited moments will be Valerio Pisano with “Tappinozio di Mezzaestate”, an installation created especially for S’Arcu ’e is Forros. The artist will bring his original language to the site, built around a very simple object that has become his signature: the Bic pen cap. Words, shapes and matter will thus come into contact with the testimonies of the Nuragic past. A truly unusual and unmissable encounter. At 8 p.m. there will be a break for an aperitif under the Gennargentu, with local products. Then, as the sun sets, it will be time for cinema. From 9 p.m., “S’Ozzastru” by Carolina Melis will be screened, dedicated to the millenary wild olive tree that survived the terrible fire of 2021 and sprouted again, and “Vitrum. Il vetro dei romani” by Marcello Adamo, which takes viewers to the Mediterranean to discover a Roman wreck and its extraordinary cargo of glass. And for those who don’t want to leave, the evening can continue: it will be possible to bring your own tent and spend the night under the Gennargentu sky.The event is organized by the Itzokor Cultural Association, together with Archeonova, which manages the site, and the Archeovisiva Cultural Association ETS.The total cost is 15 euros and booking is required. For information and reservations, you can contact Archeonova at 378 3027077 or Itzokor at 328 0570071.
