The “Tappinozio di Mezzaestate” by artist Valerio Pisano wins over the audience of S’Arcu ’e is Forros
Great turnout at S’Arcu ’e is Forros for “Tappinozio di Mezzaestate”.
Valerio Pisano recounts an intense evening, with audience arriving even from afar, archaeology and new suggestions for his artistic journey.

On August 28, S’Arcu ’e is Forros, in Villagrande Strisaili, hosted “Tappinozio di Mezzaestate”, the project by Valerio Pisano included in the Sardinia Archeo Festival orchestrated by archaeologist Matteo Tatti.
For the artist from Lanusei it was a particular experience: his bronze works arrived in a place where bronze was already being worked more than three thousand years ago. “It was an intense experience”, Pisano wrote, also recalling how the evening was marked by news of the serious fire that in those hours was hitting the area.
The event was sold out, as already happened for other events of the festival. A result that confirms the work carried out by the Sardinia Archeo Festival and by Archeonova, engaged for years in the organization and valorization of the site.
“S’Arcu ’e is Forros is an archaeological site very rich in history, which is still returning artifacts and structures still buried. A site where bronze was smelted more than 3,000 years ago welcomes Tappinozio di mezzaestate”, Pisano recounted.
Many people arrived even from afar to follow his story and to attend, after sunset, the short films scheduled.
Making the evening even more suggestive was the full moon, which accompanied the event and illuminated the site.
Pisano also wanted to thank “all the passengers present on my journey into the past” and spoke of the relationship with “my ancestors whom I wanted to contaminate with my works and who contaminated me with their history and their culture”. A passage that already looks to the future: “I will use this contamination for my artistic path and for my future exhibitions”.
The artist finally thanked Archeonova and all the operators involved, also underlining the quality of the organization and of the aperitif with local products.
